03/30/2012: Armed assailants attacked a border police checkpoint in the Barg-e Matal area of Kamdesh district, Nuristan province, Afghanistan. The police returned fire, killing four assailants and wounding seven others. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed it to the Taliban.
