05/07/2012: Assailants attacked a military post near Zinjibar city, Abyan governorate, Yemen. At least 20 soldiers were killed in the attack. Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that they carried out the attack in retaliation for the killing of leader Fahd al-Quso.
