05/29/2012: Assailants opened fire on a police patrol outside Chilpara village, South Garo Hills district, Meghalaya state, India. One police officer was killed and three others wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) and the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA).
