05/30/2012: Dozens of assailants attacked the barracks of the 135th Armored Brigade of the Yemeni Army in Jaar town, Abyan governorate, Yemen. Ten soldiers and at least 15 attackers were killed in the attack; an unknown number of people were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed it to Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
