Incident Summary:

06/13/2012: Two explosives-laden vehicles detonated near a restaurant and police academy in Hillah city, Babil governorate, Iraq. At least 20 people were killed and another 38 injured in the blast, including police officers and civilians. This was one of 28 coordinated attacks on the same day across the country. Al-Qa'ida in Iraq claimed responsibility for the incidents, stating that the attacks were part of a "blessed Wednesday invasion" targeting Shias and "traitors of the Sunnis."
