06/27/2012: An explosive device detonated, targeting the residence of a Shia politician in Madain, Diyala, Iraq. The politician escaped the attack unharmed; however, three family members were injured. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the area on the same day; this first explosion was designed to draw a crowd. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
