06/29/2012: Suicide bombers and armed assailants attacked a government compound in Kamdesh district, Nuristan province, Afghanistan. At least 31 people, including 21 assailants, were killed and an unknown number injured in the clash; in addition, at least 50 houses were damaged. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
