06/30/2012: Assailants attacked Sharif Shaykh's convoy in the Hareeri Caadle, Middle Shebelle, Somalia. Shaykh, the president of Somalia, escaped the attack unharmed, but six assailants were killed and a Somali soldier injured in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, a source attributed it to Al-Shabaab.
