07/17/2012: Assailants attacked an Afghan National Army (ANA) post in Washir district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Nine ANA soldiers and seven of the attackers died, and seven more soldiers sustained injuries in the fighting. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
