Incident Summary:

07/19/2012: Assailants kidnapped two photographers from an area near the Turkish border in Syria. The victims, Jeroen Oerlemans, a Dutch citizen, and John Cantlie, a British citizen, were released on July 26, 2012. Both victims had earlier been shot and injured while trying to escape. The Al-Nusrah Front claimed responsibility for the abduction.
