07/23/2012: An explosives-laden motorbike detonated near a Chinese consulate in the Clifton area of Karachi city, Sindh province, Pakistan. Two people were wounded in the attack, and several other vehicles were damaged in the blast. This was one of two related attacks in the Clifton area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
