07/30/2012: Gunmen attacked a checkpoint in Anadan city, Aleppo governorate, Syria. At least six soldiers died and 10 people were injured in the attack. Additionally, 25 individuals were taken hostage. There was no information available with regards to an outcome for the kidnapping. An officer for the Free Syrian Army, General Ferzat Abdel Nasser, claimed responsibility for the incident.
