08/01/2012: An explosive device was discovered and defused near Axis Bank on Jangali Maharaj Road in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This was one of six attacks in Pune on the same day. The Indian Mujahideen claimed responsibility and stated that the incidents were carried out in retaliation for the death of an Indian Mujahideen affiliate, Qatil Siddiqi, at Yerawada Jail.
