Incident Summary:

08/04/2012: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden belt at a funeral for a Popular Resistance Committees militia member in Ja'ar town, Khanfir district, Abyan governorate, Yemen. Forty-six people, including the bomber, were killed and 40 injured in the blast. Ansar al-Sharia, a sub-group of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), claimed responsibility for the incident.
