08/19/2012: A roadside bomb detonated, targeting a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military convoy near Do Abi village, Bamyan province, Afghanistan. Three soldiers from New Zealand were killed in the blast. This was one of two related incidents; responding security forces later discovered a second explosive device in the area. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
