Incident Summary:

08/21/2012: Two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on a defence volunteer checkpoint near tambon Chalerm, Rangae district, Narathiwat province, Thailand. One defense volunteer was killed and a village chief injured in the attack. This was one of three coordinated attacks occurring within a short period of time; this incident occurred one kilometer from the previous two attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
