08/27/2012: Assailants attacked an Afghan National Army (ANA) outpost in Washir district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. At least 10 ANA soldiers were killed and another four injured in the assault. Moreover, an unknown number of soldiers were reported missing following the clash. It is unclear whether the missing ANA troops were kidnapped or if they joined the assailants. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
