Incident Summary:

09/11/2012: An explosives-laden vehicle detonatd near the convoy of the Yemeni defense minister near the prime minister's office in Sanaa city, Amanat Al Asimah governorate, Yemen. The defense minister was not injured in the attack; however, 12 people died and 12 were injured in the blast. Ansar Al-Sharia, a sub-group of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), claimed responsibility for the blast.
