Incident Summary:

09/12/2012: Assailants stopped a tour bus and kidnapped the Turkish driver near Shaqra town, Abyan governorate, Yemen. The abductors purportedly demanded the release of a fellow member who had been in jail for the last two years. The hostage was released unharmed on October 7, 2012. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
