Incident Summary:
10/12/2012: Assailants threw a grenade at a hotel where a meeting of the United National Party (UNP) was scheduled to be held in Anamaduwa town, North Western province, Sri Lanka. There were no casualties reported; however, the hotel was partially damaged. No group claimed responsibility for the incident, but UNP members suspected Palitha Range Bandara, another UNP member, alleging that his goal was to disrupt the meeting.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
