11/12/2012: Four assailants opened fire on the provincial counter-terrorism police chief in Assadabad city, Kunar province, Afghanistan. Mateen Khan, the police chief, was injured in the attack and one of the assailants was also injured when police returned fire; the other assailants escaped. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
