Incident Summary:

11/16/2012: Assailants opened fire on police officers on routine patrol in a market in Garissa city, North Eastern province, Kenya. Two police officers were killed in the attack and the remaining three returned fire, causing the assailants to flee. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials believe that Al-Shabaab was involved.
