Incident Summary:

11/17/2012: Assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on a member of the Kano State House of Assembly in Kano city, Kano state, Nigeria. Ibrahim Abba Garko, the lawmaker, was killed in the attack and two of his companions were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Boko Haram.
