12/08/2012: Assailants abducted Harish Gota in the Kuprel area of Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh state, India. Harish Gota was the son of a prominent Salwa Judum leader, Chinna Gota, who was shot and killed by Maoists the previous day. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Maoists.
