12/23/2012: A roadside bomb detonated as Kurdish security forces arrived at the scene of an earlier explosion targeting a military patrol in Khanaquin town, Diyala governorate, Iraq. One soldier was killed and another two were injured in the blast. This was one of two related attacksin Khanaquin on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
