Incident Summary:

12/25/2012: Assailants stormed the Church of Christ in Nations in Peri village, Yobe state, Nigeria. The assailants opened fire, killing six people, including the head of the church, and injuring four more people. Before fleeing the scene, the assailants set fire to the church, causing material damage. This was one of two similar attacks on churches in Nigeria on the same night. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, authorities suspect that Boko Haram was involved.
