Incident Summary:

12/25/2012: Assailants stormed the First Baptist Church in Maiduguri city, Borno state, Nigeria. The assailants opened fire, killing six people, including the church's deacon. Before fleeing the scene, the assailants set fire to the church, causing material damage. This was one of two similar attacks on churches in Nigeria on the same night. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, authorities suspect the Boko Haram was involved.
