Incident Summary:

12/28/2012: Assailants attacked a prison in Maiha city, Adamawa state, Nigeria. Thirty-five prisoners were freed; however, 11 were subsequently recaptured. This was one of five attacks in the city on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, authorities suspected that Boko Haram was involved.
