01/16/2013: Assailants attacked a vehicle carrying Eng. Shah Wali in Quram Qul district, Faryab province, Afghanistan. Shah Wali, the director of the provincial Mines Department, was kidnapped, along with two other employees; in addition, his driver was killed. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
