Incident Summary:

01/17/2013: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated targeting a bus carrying Shia pilgrims at shrine in the Imam Aoun area near Karbala city, Al Karbala governorate, Iraq. At least one person was killed and 16 were injured in the blast. This was one of 14 coordinated attacks across the country on the same day. Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility for the incidents.
