Incident Summary:

01/23/2013: An explosive device planted in the car of a provincial police chief, Khalid al-Dhile, detonated at a busy market in Al Bayda city, Al Bayda governorate, Yemen. Al-Dhile was not in the car at the time; however, one guard was killed and at least two people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is suspected by police officers.
