Incident Summary:

01/30/2013: Assailants abducted three engineers from Canadian oil field Gran Tierra Energy in Piamonte municipality, Cauca, Colombia. The victims were abducted while driving along a highway outside Piamonte. The engineers were released after Colombia military intervention on 1/31/2013. There was no claim of responsibility for this attack; however, sources attributed it to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
