Incident Summary:

02/03/2013: Approximately 20 assailants attacked a quarry company site in San Rafael barangay, Rizal province, Philippines. The attackers set fire to six pieces of heavy machinery and stole computers and firearms. The assailants also stopped workers on site, telling them that the attack was due to a failure to pay revolutionary taxes, for company-instigated environmental destruction, and insufficient wage structures. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials believed that the New People's Army (NPA) was responsible.
