Incident Summary:
02/05/2013: An explosive device detonated inside a hotel restaurant in Khwaja Sabz Posh district, Faryab province, Afghanistan. Three people were killed and nine other patrons, including a former jihadi commander, were wounded in the blast. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities suspected that the attack was meant to target a former jihadi commander who was dining at the restaurant.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
