02/10/2013: A roadside bomb struck a convoy carrying Madah Awadh, a leader of a local anti-Al-Qaida militia, in Abyan, Yemen. Awadh escaped the attack unharmed; however, two of his bodyguards were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, local officials suspected the involvement of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
