03/05/2013: A land mine detonated as police were on a poppy eradication operation in Khak-e-Sufaid district, Farah province, Afghanistan. Gunfire was also reported following the initial explosion. Three people died and seven other people were injured in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
