Incident Summary:

03/18/2013: A suicide bomber drove an explosives-laden vehicle into a minibus on Maka al-Mukarram road in Mogadishu, Banaadir region, Somalia. The bomber was targeting the vehicle of Khalif Ahmed Ilig, a senior intelligence chief, but accidentally hit the bus instead. Seven civilians and three government security officers were killed and at least 10 others, including Ilig, were injured. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack as revenge against Iliq's recent actions in Mogadishu.
