Incident Summary:

03/19/2013: Assailants attacked a unit of police officers on a poppy eradication operation in Bala Buluk district, Farah province, Afghanistan. Ten perpetrators were killed and an additional nine were wounded in the ensuing firefight. Two police officers were also injured as a result of the fighting. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, local authorities attributed the attack to the Taliban.
