Incident Summary:

03/20/2013: Assailants attacked Mavo village in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau, Nigeria. At least nine people were killed and another 20 people were injured in the fighting that ensued between the perpetrators and residents of the village. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities suspect that the attack was perpetrated by members of the Tarok tribe and was in retaliation for the killing of one of their tribe's members by Fulani herdsmen on March 17, 2013.
