Incident Summary:

04/01/2013: Assailants attacked the headquarters of a gas company at the Akkas gas field in Al Anbar governorate, Iraq. Three employees were killed and two other people were kidnapped in the attack. The assailants also set fire to the offices and nearby vehicles. No information was available with regards to the outcome of the kidnapping. No group claimed responsibility for the incident, but sources suspected that Al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) was behind the attack.
