04/16/2013: Assailants detonated an explosive device and then opened fire on a joint patrol of Afghanistan National Army (ANA) soldiers and police in Gangagal area, Sarkani district, Kunar province, Afghanistan. Four people, including two ANA soldiers, were killed in the incident and one was injured. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
