04/28/2013: A roadside bomb detonated near a police convoy in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. Mohammad Hassan Adel, the deputy provincial police chief and two other police officers were killed in the explosion and two police officers were injured. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that the it marked the beginning of their spring offensive.
