05/03/2013: An explosive device detonated in Binay area, North Cotabato province, Philippines. At least two soldiers were injured and a military vehicle was damaged in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA), speculating that the intent was to harass the re-election campaign of Efren Pinol, mayor of Magpet town, who had failed to pay the NPA extortion funds.
