05/11/2013: Assailants fired mortars at a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military base in Sirkanay district, Kunar province, Afghanistan. The mortars missed the base and struck a group of nearby civilians; at least one person was killed and another was injured in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
