Incident Summary:
06/02/2013: A suicide bomber attempted to detonate an explosives-laden vehicle near a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant in Belhaf town, Shabwah governorate, Yemen. The soldiers were able to shoot at the car, which detonated, killing only the assailant. This was one of two related attacks at the plant on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials attributed the attack to Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
