Incident Summary:

06/06/2013: Four assailants abducted two French journalists, Didier Francois and Edouard Elias, along with two other people, in Aleppo, Syria. Three of the hostages, including the two journalists, were released on April 19, 2014, while the whereabouts of the fourth hostage is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
