06/12/2013: An assailant attacked police officers at a checkpoint in Sangin district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Six officers were killed in the attack and two officers were reported missing. The assailant also stole weapons and vehicles. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, stating it was an insider attack perpetrated by an infiltrator.
