Incident Summary:
06/26/2013: A remote-controlled explosive device detonated in Karachi city, Sindh province, Pakistan. The explosion targeted Justice Maqbool Baqir of the Sindh High Court. Twelve people were killed and 14 others were injured, including the judge. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the judge was targeted for his anti-Muslim verdicts. Sources also attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
