Incident Summary:

06/30/2013: Assailants attacked the Olokuta Medium Security Prison in Akure city, Ondo state, Nigeria. Two people were killed and an unknown number of people were wounded in the attack. Additionally, 175 inmates escaped when the assailants used explosives to blow holes in the prison walls. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
