07/01/2013: A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device during a funeral at a mosque in Muqdadiyah city, Diyala governorate, Iraq. Twenty-three people were killed and 28 others were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was involved.
